SCHOOL SITE COUNCIL ELECTIONS - VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Hello Sierra Families,
We are seeking parents to serve along with the Sierra Staff on the 2021-2022 School Site Council.
The Council is made up of five parents and five staff members who review, provide input and approve our Site and Safety Plans. If you have any questions about the Council please email the principal's secretary, Kimberly Ervin, at firstname.lastname@example.org.
New members receive training from RUSD staff regarding the role of parents/community members serving on school site councils. The training will be delivered at a date (TBD) prior to the first site council meeting. The first Sierra site council meeting will be held virtually on December 14, 2021, and the second meeting virtually on February 10, 2022. Each meeting is about 1.5-2 hours long. This year we have five open parent/community member, 2-year term seats available to serve on the council. If you are interested, please email Kimberly Ervin at email@example.com by FRIDAY, OCTOBER 22nd.
Please include the following information:
"Yes, I am interested in becoming a Site Council member" with your NAME, EMAIL ADDRESS, PHONE NUMBER and STUDENT'S NAME/TEACHER. We will follow up with more detailed information and add your name to the ballot which will be distributed to the school community in November.
Message from Rocklin Unified School District
Dear Rocklin Unified Families,
The Rocklin Unified School District understands how important Internet connectivity and access to a device is for students so they can access online educational resources. If you checked out a Chromebook or Hotspot for your student last year or will not have a device at home for your student to use for homework this year, please take a moment to apply for this federal program so we can determine if you qualify.
We have extended the deadline for this program until further notice.
If you already submitted the form, you do not need to do it again. For information on the timeline and next steps or to look at some Frequently Asked Questions, please go to our website for more information.
