Veterans Day Mass
We will be having Mass on Wednesday, November 11th at 8:05am in honor of our veterans. Please extend an invitation to all veterans that you know. Students need to arrive no later than 7:50 to prepare to go to Mass.

Tests this week...
We will have our regular weekly reading assessments this week over Lesson 12 - Ah, Music! . Students will bring home their reading textbooks on Wednesday. Please help your student read the story Ah, Music! for Reading Comprehension and the Target Vocabulary.
Spelling list came home on Monday. Please help your child study for their Spelling Test on Friday. Regular & Challenge Lists can be found on http://www.spellingcity.com/Parker2ndGrade/.
November "Book-It!"
November "Book-It" sheets has been sent home!! Students need to read 6 books (3 chapters in a chapter book = 1 book) by Nov. 30th to get a FREE personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut!
Scholastic Book Orders
Books make great gifts! Scholastic Book Order forms were sent home Friday. You may purchase online. All orders due by Nov. 30th. Please let me know if your order is a gift and I will make arrangements to discreetly get the books to you. All orders help get free books for our classroom library.
Mass Offering
Just a reminder that if your child would like to bring money to put in the collection basket at Mass, they may bring it on Mondays or Tuesdays before Mass. I have collection envelopes in the classroom for them to use. Students may also write a special prayer intention and put in the collection basket.
November Mass Offerings will be given to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.

Ice cream may be purchased on Wednesdays and Fridays for 2nd grade students.
Snack
Please remember to pack a snack for your child. We are always grateful for snacks given to the class for when one doesn't have a snack. We don't want anyone left out. Thanks! :)
