Topic 3 Developing Proficiency in Adding and Subtracting Whole Numbers

The students have worked very hard on solving addition and subtraction problems with fluency. Our lessons focused on one-step and two-step word problems within 1,000 using strategies based on place value, standard algorithm, and strip diagrams.


Unit 3 Test will be on Tuesday, October 27th.

Integrating Mathematics and Technology

KHAN Academy

Khan Academy offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empower learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. The math missions guide learners from kindergarten to calculus using state-of-the-art, adaptive technology that identifies strengths and learning gaps.

Pearson Realize

PEARSON REALIZE is our newest learning management system that gives 'digital natives' the learning experience that they have come to expect. PEARSON REALIZE also delivers intuitive reports so teachers can use student mastery data to target classroom teaching and develop curriculum.

Think Through Math

Think Through Math (TTM) is an interactive online mathematics program for student learning. It combines a unique blend of adaptive assessment, skill building, student motivation, and individualized live instruction. Students are enrolled in a unique pathway based on their grade level. Students are also given an adaptive assessment that prescribes precursor activities designed to build skills needed to achieve grade level proficiency.
