Whitharral ISD Kindergarten Round-Up!
It's that time of year! Whitharral ISD will be hosting Kindergarten Roundup on April 24th from 8:15 am to 11:30 am. There will be a short meeting in the cafeteria with the parents from 8:30 am to 9:00 am. New Kindergarteners will join the current Kindergarteners and NHS students for milk and donuts. Your student will be able to experience Whitharral ISD first hand with this exciting group and participate in various rotating stations. To round out the morning activities, we will end with lunch. We would like to get a head count of students planning to attend Kindergarten in the fall. Your child must be five years old on or before September 1, 2019, to enroll. If you are planning to attend April 24th, please email Principal Nick McCollister at nmccollister@whitharralisd.org or call 806-299-1135 x 201. You will need to bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate, social security card, and current updated shot records.
We look forward to seeing you!!
Whitharral 2019-2020 Transfer Information Grades 1-12
Looking for a community-based atmosphere, differentiated learning, small teacher to student ratio, and a place that feels like home? Then Whitharral ISD is the place for you!! Call 806-299-1135 x 201 or email Principal Nick McCollister at nmccollister@whitharralisd.org to get more information or a tour of the school.
Parents of children wishing to attend Whitharral ISD for the first time will need to come to the principal’s office and complete the required papers. Due to applicable State and Federal guidelines, application for transfer does not guarantee admittance into Whitharral ISD.
Parents of children (who reside outside of the Whitharral School District and currently attend Whitharral ISD as a transfer student) should receive required transfer papers from the superintendent’s office by mail or from your child’s teacher. Transfer papers need to be completed and returned by Friday, May 11, 2019. If your child is currently a transfer student and you did not receive transfer papers in the mail for your child/children, please contact the front office. Thank you for letting us teach your child/children!! Each student here plays a crucial role in making Whitharral ISD an exceptional place.

8th and 9th Graders and Dual Credit Information
UPDATE: Scholarships have been added to the school's web page. Click Here to be taken to the page!
I need to meet with all current 8th and 9th graders' parents by the end of the year. This meeting will give us a plan for the next few years of classes. It is a very short meeting! Please email or come by to set up a meeting.
Also, I need to meet with all current 9th, 10th, and 11th-grade students and parents interested in Dual Credit. If you are interested in taking Dual Credit classes you will need to fill out the Dual Credit information so we have each student enrolled before school is out. The current 9th graders will need to have taken and passed the reading and writing portions of the TSI before they can register for most Dual Credit classes. I will be pulling those students before school is out to take the TSI test. To take College Algebra the Math TSI has to be passed.
