Volunteers needed for After Prom
AFTER PROM is back for 2022!! BUT WE NEED YOUR HELP!
For two years, we have been unable to have an After Prom due to the pandemic. As of right now, we only have two parent volunteers. In order to make the make the event successful, we need parent volunteers to join the planning committee. The planning committee has several different ways to get involved – decorating, donations, sponsors, activities, prizes, etc. If you are interested in helping, please email us at: lovelandhighafterprom@gmail.com. You can be a parent of any student freshman through senior to help with After Prom. Freshman and Sophomore parents are encouraged to join! The planning will begin in January. Please help to make this year's after prom the BEST ONE YET!
Thank you for your support!
News from the Office of School Counseling
Did you know there is an 8-month window in which a student should take the first ACT or SAT? There's a downside to starting too early or late! The next of the LHS College & Career Lecture Series events is titled "ACT/SAT 101 - 4 Steps to an Individualized Plan for Successful Testing." It will take place via Zoom on Thursday, January 13th at 7:00pm. Attendees will learn the following:
· How to make the best choice between the SAT and ACT
· When students should ideally take the first(and last) test - create a personalized timeline
· How much preparation is typically needed for best scores
· Know how Covid “test-optional” policies impact admissions
Leave with a solid, individualized plan for college entrance testing, saving you time and money.
Registrants will be emailed a link to a PDF workbook to print in advance of the event. All juniors and sophomores and their parents/guardians are highly encouraged to attend. Click here to register - 2022 ACT/SAT 101 for Students and Parents/Guardians We hope to see you there!
