Principal's Message
- While we always welcome parents into the school, if you are planning to stay at school for more than a few minutes (check in with a teacher, walk a Birthday treat down, etc.), please talk to your child's teacher or me first.
- If you pick your child up from school please remember to remain in your car if you are using the pick-up lane and pull ALL the way forward so there is no opening between you and the car in front of you.
- Students can only be picked up by the sidewalk in front of school. They are NOT allowed to walk to a car that is waiting in line on the south end of the parking lot (by entrance).
- Parents must use the crosswalk to get to their car if it's parked in the parking lot. If you are parked on the road, you may walk along the grass on the south end of the lot to get to your car.
- We are encouraging students to wait for their ride near the main entrance as opposed to by the bike rack so that they can be better supervised. The adults will do their best to find your child and send them down to you if you are parked at the back of the drop-off line.
I am always looking at ways to improve this process, so if you have suggestions, please let me know.
Finally, the fall weather is coming, so please make sure to send your child to school with a jacket. Students are expected to wait outside in the morning until the first bell rings and it can be very chilly out there if they are not dressed appropriately.
Thank you for all you do to help your child be successful at school!
Hot Lunch
If you need to put money in your child's lunch account, you can do so by putting cash or a check (written out to School Nutrition) in an envelop with your child's name and ID in the black box outside the office or you can go to www.myschoolbucks.com. We do not take lunch money in the office nor can we look up how much money your child has in their account.

School History
Where did the name Erdman come from? Erdman was a settlement on the north side of Sheboygan, named after William A. Erdmann, who was a prominent businessman in the late 1800s.
When was the school first established? The first record of Lincoln School at Erdman was in 1846. The original Lincoln School was made of logs and was later turned into a corn crib after a new school was build in 1900. When it was built it was a one room rural school until 1903 when an addition was built turning it into a two-room state-graded school. In 1932 it was noted that there were 18 students in the upper grade room and 24 in the primary room.
