Important Announcement regarding the Racist Incident!!!
After much persistence to Temple University, The Office of IDEAL (Institutional Diversity Equity Advocacy Leadership) has just announced to us that they have just put up a job posting for the position of Director of Student Engagement. The Director is in charge of academic support for heritage celebrations, development of a race course, student diversity dialogues and work with different student affinity groups. The Office of IDEAL will also be submitting a proposal for new space at the old Messiah College Property on Broad Street, across from J & H student housing. It will be called the Burrow, which is the name of an underground owl nest. If the proposal is accepted there may be a classroom available for race courses, student dialogues, and other courses IDEAL services.
This job posting could have never come to life without you all. We did this together for us. Had we not stood up for ourselves we would have never known the possibilities of what we truly deserve as students on campus. We deserve to have staff that care about our identities, our stories and our safety. With this new position and the new road that is ahead, we have to keep fighting and remember that as students we deserve a safe, inclusive environment for people of all different races, genders, sexualities, religions and abilities.
Below are the links to the job posting for the Director of Student Engagement. Feel free to share with those you may know to be qualified.

AAU’s Mid-Autumn Festival creates a time when people come together in an expression of community pride and collective responsibility. Youth give a day of service, restaurants donate food, artists offer their talents, businesses and organizations chip in money – hundreds of people work together to make the festival our own.
