First Semester Recap
Hello parents and families,
What a fulfilling first semester of the school year! Our students have now completed 18 weeks of learning and growing. They are certainly going to enjoy a well-deserved rest over winter break December 22- January 8. December has been a month to remember with a school spelling bee, several assemblies and concerts, and even a couple visits from "The Grinch" himself.
This week we will put the exclamation mark on a great first semester as we participate in school spirit week and class parties.
Tomorrow is the last day to donate a new, unwrapped toy for the students at our partner school, Lindbergh Elementary. We are so close to reaching our goal and appreciate any presents that you are able to donate!
Please remind your students to check the lost and found for any missing items. Items left at the end of the week will be donated.
We would like to thank our fabulous parents for all of the support. We wish you and yours a wonderful holiday season.
Warmest wishes,
Mr. Abrams (aka "The Grinch") & Mrs. Moya

School Spelling Bee
Earlier this month, 16 sixth graders participated in the school spelling bee. After many rounds, it came down to two spellers, Brock Gibbs and Claire Stephan. Several more challenging rounds later, Brock spelled the championship word correctly and Claire was named school runner-up. We are impressed by the terrific spelling of these students!
