Welcome Back!

I hope everyone has had a wonderful and restful break. We are all back into the swing of things. The students were so excited to get back and tell me all their stories of the fun activities you all did over break.

What is happening in our room?

Reading - We have been reading Tacky books all week and looking at different character traits of the characters. We will continue to read different penguin books next week and dive into the characters.

Writing - We are beginning our persuasive writing unit. We are looking at things around the school and trying to see what ways we can improve our school and classroom.

Math - We have spent this week working on weight. Next week we will look at length and height a little more.

STEM Projects

We have just created our "Most Magnificent Thing." We read a story about a girl who was creating items with objects that she had. Students were given items that they could use and create their most magnificent thing. Some students chose to work on their own, others worked with a partner or in a group. They had a wonderful time creating their projects.

We are always looking for donations of any type. One person's trash is a kindergarten class's treasure! Fell free to send in any items you don't need at home.
