A Message From the Superintendent
I want to wish the Spring Hill family a Happy Thanksgiving. Despite our very unusual circumstances, we continue to have much to be thankful for. I especially want to thank the community for the support we have received over the past nine months. In June, I stated that in order to be successful this year, we would have to take on a family mindset and work together through this school year. Many sacrifices have been made by students, staff and family in order to open our doors on a daily basis. Thus far, these sacrifices have proved successful as we continue to have school. I do want to dispel a rumor circulating in many communities. Currently, we have no plans to close school after Thanksgiving break. We will return from the break with a new emphasis on our Covid-19 protocols in order to minimize the risk of spreading the virus. As of November 18th, we have seven students and three staff active Covid-19 cases within the district.
I would like to congratulate the Blue Brigade marching band on their first division marching contest rating. This rating qualifies them for the state marching contest on December 9th. Our band program has such an incredible impact on the lives of our students who participate. I also want to wish our cross country team and twirlers good luck as they participate in their state competitions.

PTA Hosts Movie Night at Panther Stadium
Thank you to all who helped and attended Family Movie Night! Thanks to Dr Guidry for getting our movie license fee sponsored!
We raised enough money to cover 2 1/2 months worth of teacher grants! Teachers put in a grant request and the PTA votes to approve it and pay for the teachers classroom need. The last few years we have been able to cover these grants and student scholarships. With this year looking a little different, we want to ensure our teachers are supported! That is where Family Movie Night came from! Without YOUR support of the PTA, we would not be able to support our Spring Hill teachers and students, so THANK YOU!! ~ Meredith Smeltzer
