From the Principal
It has been another great week at Monroe Elementary. Our students spent some time this week Map testing. We will be using the information gained from these tests to determine who needs extra support in reading and map and who needs their thinking stretched.
This week the mobile dentists came to Monroe to do some teeth cleanings. Our nurse's clinic was turned into a dentist office for a day. I have included a few pictures below.
This week our three top winners from our fundraiser were announced and they got their candy bar prizes. See picture below. On December 14th, any students who earned a DQ blizzard, goat cupcake,McDonald's Happy Meal, or a goat selfie will receive these that day during lunchtime. Those of you that had your orders shipped to the school, they are on their way to Monroe Elementary. We hope to receive them early next week and will develop a pickup time before Winter Break.
Pending Board of Education approval, Tuesday, January 3rd will be a teacher work day. Students will return from Winter Break on Wednesday, January 4, 2023.
If you are signed up to attend the Winter classroom parties, they will be held on Tuesday, December 20th at 2:45. Room parents ONLY may be permitted to go to the classrooms at 2:30 to set up. If you have signed up to attend the party but not set up, please plan to go to the classrooms at 2:45.
