MOLDBOARD PLOW
The Moldboard Plow was invented in the 3rd Century BC.With only 10% of China’s land being arable land and China’s population growing rapidly this seemed like a huge problem. The Moldboard Plow was made out of cast iron .China’s plow provided a basis for modern combines and other farming equipment. The “V” shape is still used today to cut and push away the soil, just on a much larger scale. The Three-shared plow is now on a much larger scale and used more commonly. The lou-li is used in almost every modern combine. It is so convenient compared to plow the fields and planting the seeds in two separate steps. Harrows are now metal, however they save the same purpose.
