Updates from Mrs. Froning

May 17, 2020

Welcome to the Class of 2033

On Tuesday, May 12th we held a Meet & Greet for all incoming Kindergarten families...the Class of 2033! While we would much rather gather in our beautiful media center for this special event, Zoom allowed us to join together as a part of our virtual orientation process.

If you (or someone you know) has an incoming Kindergartner and was unable to join us this past Tuesday, please email Kristin Froning (kristinfroning@wlcsd.org). We recorded the Meet & Greet and Mrs. Froning along with our kindergarten team and office staff would be happy to answer questions!

I have added our newest families to the Update listsever!

Student Pantry continues serving Walled Lake families

The Student Pantry continues to provide food to approximately 85 families in the Walled Lake Consolidated School District each week. The Pantry is in need of the following perishable items: milk, eggs and bread. We are also in need of canned vegetables. If you would like to donate any of these items, please see the SignUp Genius link below. The Pantry continues to work the Hospitality House and local groceries to help with the food supply. The generosity of donations from volunteers is greatly appreciated too!

The address for donation dropoff is 3206 Gateway Ledge Drive, Commerce Township, MI 48390.

  • Bread can be dropped off at any time prior to 11:30 AM on Tuesday (delivery day).
  • Eggs and milk should be dropped off between 9:30 AM and 11:30 AM on Tuesday (delivery day).

Looking Ahead:

In observance of the Memorial Day Holiday, there will be no virtual learning on Monday, May 25th.

Celebrating our 5th Graders
