A message from the elementary band and orchestra directors
Thank you for joining us in viewing the Virtual Winter Concert for the 2020-21 school year. It was surely a challenge for all parties involved, but we are so proud of our students and all of their hard work. Please enjoy the 4th and 5th grade orchestras and bands which have combined across all 12 elementary schools to put together this wonderful winter performance. It is absolutely amazing when you consider that the fourth graders have had 12 lessons (total) and that they are already accomplishing so much on their instruments! Thank you to all of the general music teachers as their training makes such a difference for these young children when learning how to play a new instrument. The fifth graders have also impressed us all in their ability to accomplish an elementary ensemble piece without ever having performed as a band or orchestra before! We are all so proud of the students and their work.
We have created two videos for you to choose from. A larger video to capture the entire district as an ensemble as well as smaller groups to highlight the students close-up! Please enjoy the elementary winter concert videos!

WE Learn Through Service
WE are beginning a WE Learn Through Service movement in the district. This is Student-Led and will empower our students to be able to take actions to make sustainable changes that will live beyond their time as students in our school district. This is greatly inspired by the work of Dr. King, a man who has taken action and inspire others to be great!
