Survey Says:
This week, we surveyed students to find out if they would rather have a snowball fight or go sledding on a snowy day. With a total vote of 66, sledding took the win; however, snowball fights did have 25 votes. According to "The Beacon," a student newspaper of Jackson-Reed High School, sledding takes the crown as the all-time greatest winter sport. Did you know the roots of sledding trace back to the days of European explorers? They used sledding as a way of transportation.

Chapel
On Friday January 19th, 10th grade opened Chapel with pledges, song & prayer. Then, Dana Borglum of Calvary Chapel Truman Lake spoke. He talked about the right hand of God, and creative power. He also talked about power, strength, and honor. God has power over the enemy, and we don't have to rely on ourselves, we can rely on Christ at all times. We also learned that God embodies all glory, power, and honor, all with His right hand. When we are in Christ we are made new, Ephesians 2. Jesus is seated at the right hand of the Father, and we are to focus our thoughts on Christ and not on worldly things. Ephesians 2:6. -Audrey F.
