Reflection Corner: Easter Challenge
“Now those who had been scattered went about preaching the word.” Acts
This passage from Acts reminds us that Easter is a season not only of rejoicing but also of challenge. Has it transformed us as it did the first Christians? Can we do just one little thing today to the people entrusted to our care so that the living Word is a routine part of our daily duties?
Prayer: Almighty God, give me the courage to proclaim my beliefs to everyone I meet through my words and deeds. We ask this in Jesus’ mercy. Amen.

April is Month of the Military Child
" . . . . military children are faced with unique challenges that ordinary youth their age never experience. Their ability to adapt to present and future changes deserves our respect and admiration. In an effort to recognize the hard work- and applaud- the courage of military children, the Department of Defense (DOD) has deemed April as the Month of the Military Child (MOMC). It is a time to honor military youth for the important role they play in contributing to the strength of the Army Family. MOMC also reaffirms the Army’s commitment to ensuring excellence in schools, childcare and youth services as well as, providing a strong supportive environment where children can thrive" (www.mwr.brandcentral.com)
We do have military children at OLM. We commend them and their families for their sacrifices and commitment to support the noble cause of protecting our country. We join the Department of Defense and the military community in celebrating the Military Child. This Friday, April 15th, everyone is encouraged to wear PURPLE in support and appreciation of our Military Youth.
