Glen Rock BOE Highlights

The Glen Rock High School Choir performed under the direction of Mr. Helder and Ms. Lilikas.
The Board of Education approved the following courses to be added as new editions to the 2020-2021 GRHS Program of Studies.
The Board of Education discussed the feasibility of establishing an inter-local agreement with the Ridgewood School District for landscaping services.
Board of Education Trustee and I & P Liaison, Ms. Findley, updated the Board of Education and Community on the GRHS/MS Maker Space curricular and programming plan. These plans include consistent and active use of the Maker Space by staff and students starting this September. In addition, school administration is working on a curricular and sequence of courses plan for the next 4-5 years.
Dr. Brennan, Liaison for Community and Management, shared with the Board of Education and Community that 14 district staff attended "Mental Health First Aid Training" that focused on identifiable warning signs exhibited by students. A survey was sent to participants and administration awaits the results.
The Board of Education approved Mr. Robert McCorry as the Director of Security effective January 1, 2020.
President Sharon Scarpelli and members of the Board of Education recognized and congratulated Board of Education Trustees Sanjiv Ohri and Shel Hirschberg for their service and dedication to our schools, students, staff, and community. You will be missed.
