Unconventional Conversation
This is best as a written conversation but can be used as a spoken conversation as well.
- Assign a topic to students that includes two things that would never really have a conversation. Example: Prime and Composite numbers OR a tadpole and a frog (Be creative and give the students options!)
- With ONE piece of paper for each pair of students, they take turns having a written conversation taking on the role of of the chose people/objects.
- Their conversations should be from their person/object's perspective about whatever topic you are working on.
- Have students share whole group or with another set of partners.
