Report Cards and Honor Roll
Third quarter report cards are now posted in Skyward. They can be found under the “Grade Cards & Academic Awards” tab on the left-hand side of Family/Student access.. If your child made the Honor Roll you will also find that designation listed there. Students who received all A’s for 3rd quarter qualify for the Principal’s Honor Roll. Students who received A’s and B’s qualify for regular Honor Roll. If you would like a printed honor roll certificate, please email erinnvogts@smsd.org with your request.

Important Notes From Our Nurse
Drinks
Just a reminder - it is an expectation that students do NOT drink caffeinated drinks such as coffee and other energy drinks while at Indian Hills. Energy drinks especially are hard on developing middle school minds and bodies. If we see them, they will be dumped.
Please help your student get a good night sleep, a balanced breakfast, and lots of water! Water is the only drink to be consumed while at school.
Speaking of - have your student check the lost and found if they are missing their water bottle 🙂
Injuries
If your student has had an injury that will interfere with their daily schedule, please notify the Nurse’s Office. Get documentation at each appointment as it is required by the Shawnee Mission School District. It is much easier to ask for documentation from your doctor while you are at an appointment than hunt someone down later. Thank you 🙂
Cold season! Yes it’s almost April and yes, we’re still in it.
The nurse’s office does not keep cold medicine and nasal sprays in the office. If your student is needing them, please administer them before school. If you would like your student to take them at school, you are welcome to supply them along with a Medication Permission Form.
General Wellness
We see a lot of headaches that need water,
Tummy aches that need a snack,
And tired kids that were up too late the night before.
Help your student be successful! Please encourage your students to get plenty of sleep, drink enough water and eat a filling breakfast. We have water bottle filling stations - have your student bring a bottle from home they can drink throughout the day.

Sewing Supplies Needed!
Are you working on spring cleaning? Does your craft or sewing room have supplies that you are tired of looking at? The sewing class at Indian Hills would love to have anything sewing related.
These items could include fabric, buttons, zippers, patterns, thread, or any other supplies you come across.
Please drop them off in the main office and we will put them to good use. If you have a large amount, or if you don’t make it up to the school regularly, email phillipmanuel@smsd.org and I can do a home pick up.
Thank you from the students in room 124!
