FUN AND SMILES - PROJECT PLAYGROUND!
Lost and Found!
Please take a look at the below items and let us know if you recognize any of them. As many of you are aware, we tend to accumulate A LOT of lost items throughout the year. We are trying to minimize this for the upcoming year. Each week we will send a picture of lost items for you to claim. If they are not claimed then we will ensure that they go to a donation center in our area. What is most helpful is if you label your child's clothing and school items. We can then easily identify the item and make sure that the lost item is found and hopefully also save you a trip to have to buy another one. Please label items such as jackets, sweatshirts, water bottles, and lunchboxes. As winter approaches please make sure that you label boots, snow pants, hats, and mittens. Black snow pants seem to be a favorite here at Rose Glen and so labeling them will ensure that everyone has there own black snow pants and that if a pair gets lost then we can ensure it gets to the right child. Thank you for your help with this and looking forward to year with minimal lost items :) Please email Cathe Sweet at csweet@waukesha.k12.wi.us if you recognize any of the items.

All for Books
During the week of November 5th - November 9th, there will be a Classroom Competition Coin Drive to raise money for the Scholastic "ALL FOR BOOKS" program. With this program, Scholastic will match the monetary amount we collect with a donation of up to one million books to non-profit organizations dedicated to helping children in need. In addition, each teacher will get to decide how to use the money their classroom raises. This year, we are offering teachers the option to purchase books for their classroom or donate some/all of their money to a charity (to be determined). So let's say a classroom collects $100. The teacher determines how to spend their classroom money and Scholastic donates $100 worth of books to underprivileged families. It's a WIN-WIN situation! Also, the classroom that donates the most money will get a special gift!
YEARBOOKS
Yearbooks will only be able to be ordered online...no more paper forms!
Use the link below to order yearbooks:
Scroll down and click on "Order Your Yearbook". The yearbook code # is: 13596019.
REMINDERS
With the cold weather on its way, this is a good time to remind children to keep their hats and mittens in the sleeve of their coats. This will minimize items ending up in the Lost and Found.
Students should also not share hats, or combs with other students for health reasons.

MY SCHOOL ANYWHERE - SCHOOL ONLINE DIRECTORY
Did you know that Rose Glen has an online family directory? Have you signed up yet? Having access to this directory is a great way for you to stay connected with other school families. It also is the way that you would get contact information for your child’s classmates, including information you would need for sending out birthday invitations via email or U.S. mail. (Please remember that unless your child is inviting the entire class, party invitations may not be distributed at school.)
Another important reason you may want to be included in the directory is to give your child the opportunity to be invited to birthday parties or other gatherings with classmates, since neither the teachers nor the office staff is able to share contact information with you. Hopefully you have already signed up for the family directory. If you have not, please take a few minutes to do so.
