Newton's First Law and Me
See how I am affected by Newton's First Law of Motion
Newton's First Law
"Every object in a state of uniform motion tends to remain in that state of motion unless an external force is applied to it." This Law applies to me in many ways (which you will find out).
About Me
Hi! My name is Senorita Soccerball. I will tell you how I am put into motion. First of all, I am put into motion when I am kicked. If someone kicks me hard, I will gain a lot of speed, but if someone kicks me softly, I will not have a lot of speed.
When in Motion
When I am in Motion, I usually need some type of force to put me in motion. The most common force to put me in motion would be a kick. After someone kicks me, I am put into motion by the amount of force in the kick. If it is a soft kick, I will not go very far, but if it is a hard kick, I will go farther.
When I am Not in Motion
If I am not in motion, I will never be in motion. I would need a force to put me in motion.
