Weekly Update: Testing 8/23 & 8/24
Week of 8/23-8/27/21
You Need To Know
Thank you all for another successful week. Our scholars are learning their way around the building and are actively engaged in their classrooms. Thank you for sending them in dress code, ensuring they have school supplies in their clear/mesh backpacks and are ready to engage in each day’s lesson cycle. We are grateful for your partnership.
Just a few reminders, please remind our boys to wear their pants above their waists and to wear a belt. Please!
I was recently notified that you all had not received any newsletters. Please accept my apology as it was an user error. I provide the link to the initial newsletter that has some important dates.
TESTING MONDAY AND TUESDAY
Beginning of the Year (BOY) MAP Assessments
Parents, please note your scholar will begin testing Monday, August 23, 2021. It is important that your scholar arrives on time and with his/her Chromebook and charger. All students will need their fully charged Chromebook or personal laptop both days to successfully complete their exams. For those 6th Graders who did not take the STAAR exams last year in the 5th Grade, if you pass the MAP assessments you will not be required to participate in the high dosage tutoring program. For more information regarding the MAP test, please click this link: The MAP Family Toolkit
Parents, please ensure your scholar arrives on time and is not picked up early. If you have any questions or concerts, you may call the school or email Mrs. Veals-Johnson (email@example.com).
Please join our PTO to help plan activities and celebrations for your students. The cost is $10. We will continue to sell our school merchandise. Remember, cash only. Items cost from $5-$25. I will send voice calls notifying you of the days PTO will be on campus.
Please support our athletics program.
