4-H grows leaders and 4-H volunteering grows here! Come be part of the garden and harvest of great volunteer ideas, connections, and opportunities at the annual Volunteer Conference of Southern States, October 6-9, 2016, at Rock Eagle 4-H Center. This year's program includes sessions led by volunteers for volunteers. This is the ideal spot for volunteers (and staff) looking to expand skills, network and participate in
hands on
learning to further your work with youth and adults this year's conference is sure to please. With input from past participants, an advisory council of volunteers, the planning team has designed a conference for all volunteers working with youth.Registration Open
Registration is open now. Through September 14th, registration is $295 and includes Dinner Thursday-Sunday breakfast, lodging at Rock Eagle 4-H center and all conference materials.

4-H Alumnus, Johnelle Simpson, Friday Evening Speaker
Johnelle will make you laugh and maybe cry as he shares his journey from small town south Georgia to the "big city" of Athens Georgia. UGA graduate and former Student Government President, Johnelle currently works with Great Promise Partnerships supporting programs for youth at risk in Athens-Clarke County and has a story of growing as a young person and a volunteer. Simpson will be featured Friday evening during the lab sharing sessions.
