The most intence was May 12-13 1989, Norway, Alaska. They can last for two days. The are brighter then the moon. (Perfect for snowmobiling) The light up the northern part of the world. Some can last Two nights, Some can last Fifteen seconds.

How are they created

Some Researchers say that Auroras are started and powered by tornadoes in space. The tornadoes are electrical. The wind made by the tornadoes create wind that pushes the Northern/Southern lights. that,s why they are never strait.
