The R. Grant Graham Star Reporter
January 8, 2020
From the Principal
Dear Graham Families:
Welcome back and Happy New Year! I hope everyone had a relaxing break with your family.
It is very important to your child's academic success that they attend class each day. Children are frequently late to class and are missing important lessons. I know it is difficult with remote learning, but please do your best to help your child succeed during these unprecedented times. If a child is frequently absent, we are encouraged by the district to report that child to Oakland County Youth Assistance.
We do not have school on January 18th in observance of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
As always, thank you for your patience and understanding during the pandemic.
Remember, it takes a village to raise our children.

Limited spaces are available, so eligibility is based on WIDA and NWEA scores, in addition to other factors. WE NEED your HELP WITH our YEARBOOK!
We need your help! With the school year starting off remotely (and now continuing remotely), we have no fun photos of our students to include in the 2020-2021 yearbook. We still want to have fun memories of this school year that include our amazing students! It would also be a great way to include pictures of your children if you were not able to attend Picture Day.
Please feel free to email a copy of the photo to Gretchen.Dietz@AvondaleSchools.org with your child's name and which grade or group you would like the picture to be added.
Thank you for helping to create memories!
