FunBrain: Change Maker

On FunBrain: Change Maker you earn money in a virtual piggy bank by calculating change. If you get the answer right the amount of change is added to your piggy bang, if you are incorrect the amount is subtracted from your piggy bank. The Change Maker offers different levels of difficulty and five difference currencies: American dollar, Canadian dollar, Mexican peso, English pound, Australian dollar.



The Insects Home Page

The Insects Home Page is a good site for the introduction to entomology (the study of insects), and has interesting stuff on the largest, smallest, and the most abundant bugs.

Ask Forum: Ask Dr. Math

The Ask Dr. Math program uses college math students (from across the country) to help other students with math problems. Start by browsing the archive, which is divided by grade level from elementary school to college. If you cannot find the answer in the archive you can as a question.

50 States

50 States is a fun collection of state facts, trivia and links. If you are trying to memorize the state capitals or postal abbreviations, you can quiz yourself from the list of states on the home page. Other quirky highlights include a link to each state's most famous permanent residents (those in graves), links to each state's license places (current and historical) and live Web cams from each state.
