CGI strategies in math
We will learn cognitively guided strategies in math for figuring out and solving result unknown, start unknown, and change unknown word problems. We will focus on both addition and subtraction.
Reading and Writing Fun!
We will be studying poetry and learn about rhyme and repetition in poetry as well as how poems use phrasing. We will use the Shel Silverstein poems Ouch, Band-aids, and Crocodile's Toothache as we seek to understand what the author is trying to tell us. We will look at the poem and determine what is important and provide evidence of that by looking back at the poem. We will also be writing sensory poems about holidays!
