FSC Principal's Update

January 7, 2022

Finneytown Families,

This week was the toughest in all of my years in education. Alex Harris was a great kid, friend, classmate, son and student (to name a few). He always had a smile on his face and would light up whatever space he was in. Please keep his family and our entire community in your thoughts and prayers as we move forward one day at a time.

Staff Spotlight (Kyle Chambers)

I’m Kyle Chambers, some words that have been used to describe me are prodigy, wunderkind, the best ever, and humble. This is my third year teaching at Finneytown. I teach Biology and Environmental Science. I also coach wrestling and baseball, while being the assistant dean to Pringle House, Chip Chip. I grew up in Kettering, Ohio and went to Kettering Fairmont High School where I Played football, baseball, and also wrestled for the Firebirds. After graduating in the top 20% of the class and earning the Firebird of the year, I took my talents to Cincinnati to join the University of Cincinnati and their Secondary Education program. While at UC I was heavily invested in both the American Cancer Society, becoming the president of the Cincinnati Chapter and also being heavily involved in the campus ministry organization known as Cru. After graduating I worked as Campus Field Staff for Cru at UC for 4 years. During my time at UC I met my now wife Jenna. Jenna and I have been married for almost 4 years and have two golden retrievers. We love adventure to travel all over the country going on hikes, kayaking trips and exploring the National Parks. Currently I am getting my masters in educational leadership form the University of Cincinnati, go Bearcats, with the dream of being an Athletic Director some day. My momma birthed me, but Cincy raised me.
