Heart of a Dragon
Carroll Elementary
March/April
Mrs. Steinman-School Counselor
The core value for April is Patience. We live in a world that is full of instant gratification and this can lead to us becoming more impatient. Being patient can be beneficial, as it can help improve our mental and physical health. Patient people tend to feel more positive and have better decision-making skills. Impatience can occur when we have a goal or expectation that takes longer to achieve than we think it will. Patience is waiting until later for what you want now.
Both of these words relate to conflict resolution beautifully. You need to have patience and the motivation for peace to handle conflict appropriately. This month in the classroom we will be discussing what conflict is and strategies to best to handle it when at school.
