Wake Forest University/Crosby Scholars Scholarship
Friends of Bernardine Rea Book Scholarship
The Program will award a non-renewable $500 book scholarship to three graduating Crosby Scholar seniors who faithfully participate in service to others and who plan to enroll in a two- or four-year college or university. Bernardine’s friends wish for this scholarship to assist three deserving students in continuing their education with fervor and drive according to their unique abilities, while never forgetting that life is not just about what you accomplish, but how well you treat your neighbors and friends. The student must write an essay clearly describing a time when someone unexpectedly treated them with kindness and compassion, and that how that event influenced for your future behavior. The application is available in the Crosby Scholars student portal in early winter, and the deadline is in the winter of each year. The recipients are recognized at the Senior Honors Gala. Opens in the portal January 22, 2018 Deadline is February 25, 2018
