Celebrations
We had several students represent Mott at the district's Fine Arts Showcase. We are so proud of their contributions to the Honor Choir and Art Display. They are: Aiden Sund, Nadia Ewell, Adrian Valles, Arley Vigil, Isabella Seutter, Preston Holder, Tyson Lauritzen, Danielle Emagueu, Akira Thompson, Zoe Isaacson, and Ella Lueck. The picture on the left shows the District Honor Choir on stage.
Last Wednesday, we celebrated 100 days of school! Many students and staff wore outfits to commemorate the day, and many classrooms had fun learning activities centered around the number 100. Please see pictures at the bottom of the Mott News!
A big thank you to the following parents for helping us by labeling thousands of books we purchased for classrooms! Sarah Albert, Ashley Contreras, Christy Lusk, Diane Boyd and Jennifer Chindarkar.

Mid-Year Parent Survey Results
Things to celebrate:
- 82% of parents feel that the homework their child receives is relevant and supports their child's education.
- 83% of families feel that they are part of the school community.
- 84% of parents feel welcome when they visit Mott.
Grows:
- 46% of parents gave a positive review of the food selections in the cafeteria.
- 33% of parents gave a positive review of the food quality in the cafeteria.
The cafeteria is run by an independent contracted company - Aramark. I have already met with the cafeteria manager and with Aramark supervisors to share these survey results. They have put supports and training in place for the cafeteria staff in order to make improvements.
Comments/Questions that I can answer:
Q: There needs to be more places parents can eat with students.
A: We have picnic tables behind the cafeteria on the covered basketball court. Parents are welcome to go through the cafeteria and out the back door to access those tables. As long as you have your visitor's badge, staff will let you back in the cafeteria at the end of lunch. This is a great option when the weather is nice, as it is right now!
Look for more survey results each week!
