Weekly News from Glenhope 3rd Grade! (Volume 16-17,Issue 27)

We'd love to talk to you!

We wanted to remind you that we would love to talk to you anytime - about the great things going on with your child or the struggles.


Our conference time is 10:00-10:40 and there might be some days we are available after school as well. If face-to-face doesn't work, we can call!


Please let us know any time you'd like to chat about your kiddo - good or bad. We are here to be a team with YOU!

4th & 4th Grade STAAR Testing - Next Week

4th & 5th grade will be STAAR testing next week so we wanted to let you know that the building will be closed to visitors/volunteers on Tuesday and Wednesday.

To Praise or Not to Praise?

This article discusses the appropriate type of praise you can give to children that will encourage their growth mindset and perseverance. It can be difficult to retrain your brain to stop saying "you're so smart!" or "great job!" Instead, it suggests you praise the process (ex: "I can tell you worked really hard to stay focused and work carefully. It paid off!") Here is the article:
