Glacier Ridge Elementary School 05.18.20

Dear Glacier Ridge Families and Polar Bears,

This week begins our last full week of school. It's been a strange and interesting year and time has flown by! We begin our material drop-off and pick-up on Friday. Please review the documents below to help the process go smoothly.

For this drop off there are specific times listed that correlate with student last names. Please note, this is also the last opportunity to pick up any medication that was in the nurse's office. At this time, students involved in Polar Publishing that purchased a book will also get these. 5th grade Polar Bear Players that ordered DVDs will be picking these up, as well. If you have any questions about the process, please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Please stay dry, and we hope you have a marvelous week ahead!

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the American Heart Association has stored all "thank-you" gifts at their warehouse. All orders will be shipped when Glacier Ridge reopens. When the order is received, Mrs. Maule will distribute them to the appropriate students. For those students who have moved on to a District 47 middle school, the gifts will be delivered to that school. Thank you for your understanding and patience.

Student Teacher in PE

Hello Polar Bear Families,

My name is Collin Chubb. I have been a student teacher at Glacier Ridge in Physical Education for the past month and will continue until the end of the school year. During my education career I have attended McHenry County College as well as the University of Wisconsin Platteville. I have been working with Mrs. Maule to develop a Remote Learning experience for students to stay active during this time. You can find different activities on the “ENCORE bingo board” as well as the “ENCORE extras”. We also have an ENCORE zoom session every Wednesday at 1pm. We do different activities each week including exercise sessions, read aloud, art projects, and sing alongs.

Hope to see you there!

We miss all of you! During this time of Remote Learning, we want to provide extra, OPTIONAL, FUN activities for ENCORE subjects. We have listed these activities at this link and will add to it. Look for updates!

Let us know if you have any questions!
