We NEED your help to FINISH STRONG!
Term 3 Final Exams then Spring Break! Partnership needed for success...
Looking forward to a GREAT end to Term 3 with ALL working together as ONE TRAIL to partner for student success.
Making the most of this last week of Term 3 is a must and we know our students deserve it. For many, the last week of a term heading into less structured times with a break can cause some distress. Let our staff know how we can partner with you and help you/your student.
We also appreciate those of you who are helping us to maximize student learning. Key commitments we need from families and students to keep the learning at the forefront and the safety a priority:
- Be at school and in class on time
- Actively participate in class and focus on education as the purpose for school to reach your goals
- Turn in your own work and all of it
- Do your best
- Represent the core values in all situations: Community, Integrity, Respect and Confidence
- Stay in class and keep yourself from distractions (phones, gossip, drama, etc)
- Families talk with your student about ways to resolve conflict that are not violent and to report any concerns to staff
- Check that social media/pictures/videos are positive and do not promote negativity, violence, drama, etc.
- Teachers are asked to give Final Exams are on Finals days - no potlucks/parties so that students can have the entire term to master concepts - no food will be accepted at offices or through gates
- No food drop off anywhere on campus - food will be confiscated and possible consequences for those evading rules (if we let drop offs at fences imagine what else could be passed through fences without us knowing to your students - we need to keep them safe and need your help by respecting the rules/policies)
Finally, we need your partnership to keep drama, fights and problems off campus and out of our students' lives. Let's help our students focus on accomplishing their goals for their future together as One Trail.
What are we seeing and why we need your help:
There has been an increase in student graffiti and violence in bathrooms and in locker rooms. In an extreme case there has been interruption to another teacher's classroom interrupting and even fighting another student. There are additional reports of unsafe behavior at CRC after bus drop off - CRC police and our EGUSD safety security are aware and responding. These behaviors are not tolerated and may result in suspensions and even recommendation for expulsion. None of us want that for our kids. It is also something we all can help prevent by working together when we know of situations or conflicts arising. While we continue to work even harder on our end to do what is best for kids, we ask that families speak with their students.
Please remind them of ways to report to trusted adults and in all cases do NOT add families into the mix. That does not help anyone to resolve the conflict. Instead, student or parent/guardian should report to a trusted adult or use the anonymous incident reporting system so that we can help resolve the conflict before it escalates interrupting the reason we are all at school together.
We are all in this together and want the best for our kids and staff. We thank you all for doing your part and keeping our student success and all student/staff safety and education as the top priority.
Reach out if you need anything. Thank you in advance for your help.
Let's end this term well and finish the year strong together.

Helping our Students
Student needs help or has a conflict?
- refer students in "drama" or in "need" to conflict mediation
- seek help by connecting with counselors or admin as needed
Students can self refer to conflict mediation as well.
Fill out this form for conflict mediation: google form
Remind students of our Anonymous Incident Reporting system on our website. It allows for anonymous reporting of bullying, self harm, violence, harassment and more. If the person allows us, we can also communicate two way to get additional details while they still remain anonymous if they choose.
If you see something, hear something or know something...say something!
