Sharing writing with Educreations
The Educreations app allows students to take a photo of their writing and then record what they have written. Click on the video below to hear a first grader reading her writing about her favorite snack. Educreations can also be used on the computer at www.educreations.com

Poetry Magnets
Kids can drag words around to make sentences or poems. Once they have created their writing they can take a screenshot (press both buttons at the same time.) and e-mail their finished project to the teacher.
Kids Journal
This app has a very unintimidating interface. It is organized by date so it would be a great way to encourage them to write regularly. It also allows students to add in a picture to accompany their writing.
