Maltby Intermediate 5th Grade Orientation is scheduled for August 22nd, and 6th Grade Orientation is scheduled for August 23rd. Both will run from 9am to 1pm in an Open House format, so you will not need to be here the whole time. School pictures will be taken that day for the yearbook as well as ID badges, so have your student picture day ready! This is also when your student will receive their teacher, schedule, and locker assignments, and be able to purchase Maltby gear as well as pre-order the 2023-2024 Maltby yearbook. We look forward to seeing you there!
PTO Buzz
A big thanks to all the volunteers who supported Mr. Turner with the Scholastic Book Fair this week. It was a success because of your efforts in setting-up and running the registers. The last night will be Friday, May 12th, during Family Fun Night. Some teachers have book wishlists if you’d like to donate to their classrooms.
This week, we had speakers come in to talk about their professions during Career Week. Thanks to those who took the time to inspire our children. Next week, we’ll host an Exotic Animals Assembly where they’ll meet some unique creatures and learn about their habitats.
Volunteers needed for Family Fun Night on Friday, May 12th and Hornung’s Field Day on Friday, June 9th. Please use the link below for Family Fun Night. Field Day sign-up will be available later this month. Kindergarten/JK parents will be especially needed for this day as your kids need a little extra support. If you plan to help, please login to the Parent Portal and get background clearance to volunteer about a week before the event.
