Weekly Message
Dear Raleigh Hills Community,
This year has brought so many changes for our community. I felt it was appropriate for me to take a minute to thank you for they way you have hung in there with us throughout all of it. We don't know what the next weeks and months will bring, but I am so grateful to be part of a community that is supportive and who extends us so much grace. I hope that your family will find some fulfilling activities for this long weekend. I heard that there are some trails that are going to be open. Perhaps you can get outside or do a family art lesson from YouTube. At this crazy time, I just want to say how grateful I am to have joined you this year. May this message find you healthy and safe.
Warm regards,
Jennifer

How to Address Family Conflict & Your Child's Behavior During COVID-19 Pandemic
Please read this article to learn more about proactive strategies, deescalating conflict & responding to disruptive behavior, and managing adult behavior and stress.
"Validation does not mean expressing approval of inappropriate behavior, Dr. Gold says. It means acknowledging the emotions that drive the behavior. Making your child feel heard can diffuse conflict—like dropping the rope in a game of tug-of-war."
Kindergarten Registration
If you prefer a paper packet, those can be picked up at the school outside the main office door on Tuesdays from 10-12. There will also be a bin there to turn in completed packets.

Donate to BSD Community Resources Fund
The Beaverton School District is now accepting donations from the greater Beaverton community to support community-wide efforts to provide food boxes, toiletries and other essential items to our families during this emergency situation. Food Banks are working hard to remain stocked to feed communities. There are many Beaverton families who struggle economically even in the best of times, and this fund will enable the Beaverton School District to work with community partners to serve our families. We use this fund to triple the buying power and thus increase the amount of families we can serve, a number that increases daily. Pass this on to friends and neighbors (we can also honor matching dollars!)
