Halloween at Open!

As many of you know, Oregon Hill is a special place on October 31st. The Annual Halloween parade presented by All the Saints Theater Company comes through the neighborhood around 7:30 p.m., (and trick or treating starts earlier.) Each year the parade of costumes, live music, dancing, and giant puppets incorporates a social justice theme. This year's theme is based on the climate crisis, and we would like to Open up open to the community. If you don't already have plans, consider volunteering to hand out candy and hot cider. More info to come.

In connection to this, Reps has voted to have a door decorating contest as part of the Family Cup Competition instead of pumpkins (so more family members can participate.) Reps will provide more details today. We also want to invite students and families to make puppets for the parade. See Clary if you're interested.
