Due Now! Educational Instruction Format Survey!
- Trimester 1 classes end on Tuesday, November 24th
- Trimester 2 classes will begin on Monday, November 30th
- Specific to elective classes, what you will notice in the schedule is that electives all take place at the same time resulting in you schedule not changing from a timing standpoint.
- Also, when looking at the schedule during the period where electives take place you will see 3 classes listed. The top class listed was the elective you are participating in during trimester 1, next down will be your trimester 2 class, and the last on the list will be your trimester 3 class.

Please remember that your presence in a livestream class is needed for positive attendance. Each teacher receives a report at the end of the livestream listing the students who were logged in and for how long.
Students who are not on the report are marked as either excused or unexcused absent. Excused absences are notified in advance to the office. Unexcused absences are missed events that the office hasn't been notified of.
Please notify the office of any event that affects attendance. You may leave a message at 262-628-1032 or email Jeni Kastner, kastner@hhasd.org. Please include your child's name, grade, timeframe of absence, and the reason for the absence.
Thank you for your help in maintaining positive and accurate attendance records during virtual instruction.

No School for Students December 11, 2020
On 8/31/2020 the U.S.D.A. announced waivers nationwide to allow districts to offer free meals to students through the National School Lunch Program's Seamless Summer Option. Through this program, meals are served at no charge to all students and the waivers are allowed through December 31, 2020, or until funds are exhausted. The program will begin automatically and there is no need to enroll.
The HHASD, at the time of this announcement, was not equipped staffing wise to offer this type of program. The district now finds itself at a point where we can offer free meals to our current face-to-face students and our virtual students only under the 'closed enrolled' status. The district can not be an open site at this time due to staffing constraints.
The offering of free meals will start October 1, 2020 and end on or before December 31, 2020. Students that have taken a lunch or breakfast in the month of September will have those meals charges reversed. Milk purchases are exempt from this program.
Virtual Learners Curbside Meal Program
In conjunction with the Summer Seamless Meal Program, our HHASD Virtual Learner families can use the link to place their Curbside Meal orders on a weekly basis. Orders must be placed between 9 AM Friday and 9 AM Monday. One survey completed for each child.
Information can be found permanently under the COVID -19 tab on our website.

Having a singular symptom of a cough, shortness of breath/trouble breathing, loss of sense of taste or smell or in combination with another symptom, would mean a 10 day + 24 hour quarantine period.
Any COVID testing typically will require a 4-5 day wait and requires a PCR test. A rapid test negative result is not acceptable at this time.
When to get COVID testing:
- If you are asymptomatic, wait 4-5 days to be tested so that you don't get a false negative for possibly testing too early.
- If you start experiencing symptoms, but only minor, still wait the 4-5 days to be tested.
- If you have multiple symptoms or a major symptom, please do NOT wait to be tested.
COVID-19 GUIDANCE
Below you will see two guiding documents that outline the expectations relating to health and safety protocols. We are looking to partner with families as we ask families to please keep your child home if he/she is displaying symptoms. Students will be informally monitored by the classroom teacher and sent to the office for more official screening if displaying symptoms.
If students have two or more symptoms he or she will need to be picked up and must follow these criteria:
**Remain out of school for 10 days and be symptom-free for 24 hours prior to returning.
OR
**Have a negative COVID test result.
