An update from Principal Williams

Steele Lane Families,

The office will be open on August 3rd. We are working to be as safe as possible during this time. Wearing a mask while on campus and in public is a helpful way to keep yourself safe and our staff. We also ask you to keep a six-foot distance from others that are not in your immediate family. If you do need to come onto campus we will only be allowing one family in the office at a time. Please wait in the front courtyard while maintaining a six-foot distance from others. You can Hand sanitizer will also be available. You can also call our office (707) 890-3945or e-mail us to ask questions or to get support. The rest of the campus is closed, so please stay in front of the school.

If you need help in Spanish please come to Steele Lane between 12 and 4. Lizbeth our Family Engagement Facilitator will be available to help you. You can also e-mail her at langeleshernandez@srcs.k12.ca.us.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to me with any questions. I can receive emails in both English and Spanish at awilliams01@srcs.k12.ca.us

May the FORCE be with you,

Principal Williams

Learning Options

It is extremely important for us to hear which learning option you will be choosing for your student. Your response regarding how your student will learn for the 2020-2021 is requested by Monday, August 3rd. this means that we expect our parents to log into their Illuminate Ed Portal, access the "Form" about Learning Options for the 2020-2021 school year, and make a choice.

There are three options;

1. Distance Learning - Students participate in a traditional education similar to a brick and mortar experience. The difference is all teaching will be done virtually and course work will be provided via Google- Suite and Seesaw.

2. Distance Learning with a shift to Hybrid - Students are registered with a specific school site and will be on campus as much as possible at their school, given health

and safety measures. There will be a distance-learning component.

3. Learning House - Students work 100% remotely where students and teachers create a virtual school and learning community.

Conversations About Remote Learning

Please join us for a virtual "Conversation about Remote Learning." We'll share information about Learning House and Distance Learning, the two options for our students as they begin school on August 17. With an expected large number of questions and a limited time frame, we will not be able to address everyone’s concerns. We will do our best to address the common themes and provide resources.

* Thursday, July 30, 2020
* 5:00-6:00 pm in English
* 6:30-7:30 pm in Spanish
