We Need Your Help!
The Health Office is looking for donations of supplies that are running low. Here is a list of our current needs:
- Packages of new underwear for boys and girls
- Sample size deodorants
- Shorts or bottoms that students may have outgrown
Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated!
PTO Box Top Competition
PTO is sponsoring a Box Tops competition. Students are asked to collect box tops for their teams. The team with the most box tops will win a pizza party. All box tops are due to your teachers by February 24th.
School Hours
Student safety is always a high priority at Buffett. We want student arrival and dismissal to be safe and warm. As the days get darker sooner and with the frigid winter temperatures, we wanted to provide you with a few reminders about our after-school and departure procedures:
- All students are required to leave campus by 3:15 PM as the school day ends at 3:05 PM. Students who are under the supervision of an adult may be in the building after 3:15 PM.
- Students who wait for ride must be picked up by 3:15 PM and students who walk home must depart by 3:15 PM.
- There is no waiting area in or outside of the school building as there are no adult supervisors.
- Parents will be notified when their student is on campus after 3:15 PM.
- Effective January 29, 2018, parents are required to enter the building and check their students out after 3:15 PM due to the lack of supervision. This will ensure the accountability of our students.
- After-school athletics and activities procedures stays the same.

Student Safety Tip
When temperatures drop, students often need a little extra attention to stay warm, safe and healthy. Please share the following safety information with your students so that they remain warm, safe and healthy!
When traveling to and from school during these winter months, students are encouraged to wear several layers of clothing, including a heavy winter coat. It is a great idea to make sure their head, neck, and hands are covered.
If walking to a cottage during the school day, please take the necessary and appropriate measures to make sure you stay warm. Wearing a hoodie is a great idea for this quick walk to the cottage. When inside the main building, students need to keep their coats, hats, and gloves in their lockers.
If your student needs a coat or any other winter clothing items, please feel free to contact their grade-level counselor for assistance.
