What is child abuse..
When a parent or caregiver, whether through action or failing to act, causes injury, death, emotional harm or risk of serious harm to child. There are many forms of chid maltreatment, including neglect, physical abuse, sexual abuse, exploitation, and emotional abuse.
The issue about Child Abuse
Children are suffering from a hidden worldspread occurrence of child abuse and neglect. Its a war against our children that we have the power to stop, and understanding the issue is the first way we can help. Just how bad is child abuse really is in the US? Every year more than 3 million reports of child abuse are made in the United States involving more than 6 million children. A report of child abuse is made every ten seconds. The United States has one of the worst records among nations. Losing on average four to seven children every day to child abuse and neglect.
Types of Child Abuse
Physical Abuse
A person involving contact of another person intended to cause feelings of physical pain, injury, or other physical suffering or bodily harm. 28.3% are victims of physical abuse.
Emotional Abuse
A person subjecting or exposing another behavior that may result in mental trauma. 10.6% are victims of emotional abuse.
Sexual Abuse
Forcing undesired sexual behavior by one person upon another also known as molestation. 20.7% are victims of sexual abuse.
