Principal's Point
Dear Timberview Families,
Thank you for everything you have done to help make the start of the school year successful! I know that it hasn't always been smooth, but it has been wonderful to see our students again both virtually and in person.
Our counselors have been working non-stop over the past 3 weeks getting schedules completed. I know that many of you have faced schedule changes, but we are almost completely finished with our scheduling process. Currently, we are working on balancing the class sizes in our in-person classes in order to help promote social distancing. Please make sure and check your schedule over the weekend to see any changes. We should not be facing any more major changes to our schedules until the 2nd 9 weeks instructional choices are made.
Below, you will see a message for our in person families and our remote families. We have also included an online option for reporting an absence as well as reminders on a lot of our safety processes.
Thank you again and I hope you have a great three day weekend. Please make sure that you remember to stay safe. Wear a mask when you are around others and continue to practice social distancing.

Remote Learners
Thank you for your patience as we worked through a mix of technical and scheduling issues with our remote learners. It has taken us a little time, but all classes for our remote learners are ready to go. I sincerely apologize for any confusion or frustration you may have felt during these first few days of the school year, and I'm thankful to have families like all of you, who will work with my team and I to resolve issues as they arise.
All core classes for remote learners will have a live instructor and will meet during the class period indicated in the student's schedule or when the student is available during the day or before or after school. The exact amount of direct instruction may vary from class to class, but as a general rule, each day should consist of some live interaction with the teacher as well as some independent practice time. We follow the same format in our in-person classes as well. Our teachers are committed to communicating any necessary information for class and to being a strong support for our students.
In-Person Learners
Our students have done a great job of wearing their masks and following our procedures during the school day, but we have noticed that a lot of students are coming to campus before 8:15AM, when the school doors open, and not following our procedures. Please help us by reminding your student to wear their masks when around others, even when they are outside, and to social distance. We are all in this together and we have to be responsible even when no one is looking to make sure that the virus does not spread.
We will continue to teach these practices and remind our students that their responsible choices will help keep everyone safe.

School Start/End Times Changed
Our building will open its doors at 8:15AM and classes will start at 8:30AM. Students are to enter the building and go directly to their first period unless they need breakfast.
Our end of day staggered release will begin at 3:45PM with the goal of having all students out of the building by 4PM.
Students may remain on campus past dismissal for participation in Fine Arts or a UIL event only.
Please help us by refraining from dropping off your student prior to 8:15AM and please pick them up promptly after school. This will help us make sure that students are socially distant.

Face Masks Protocol
All students, visitors, and school employees must wear face masks on campus and while riding school buses. Please view these documents for information on what types of face masks are recommended, not recommended and prohibited. If a student wears a prohibited face mask to school, we will provide them with one that is more suitable.

We have created a series of one-pagers to briefly highlight our processes for arrival/dismissal, breakfast/lunch, and campus safety measures. We will work with our teachers to develop detailed processes for each of the items that these documents discuss.
