Principal's Office

Hello, all!

Here is our Roadrunner Weekly for the week of March 11th through March 16th. We have a couple of exciting events coming up this week. On Thursday afternoon, we will be having a student assembly. This free school-wide character education program centers around a 45 minute assembly called The NED Show. NED is a loveable cartoon character whose name is an acronym for Never give up, Encourage others, and Do your best. (Click here to see their website.) The show features incredible yo-yo tricks. Their yo-yo's will be sold out of our school office for a couple of weeks afterwards as part of the show's "Pay It Forward" model, which allows them to offer their program to schools for free. However, there is no expectation for students to buy them - it is completely optional. See the flyer below for more information.

And on Saturday, March 16th, we'll be having our first annual "VIP Dance" from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Lincoln Community Center. More information about the dance and purchasing tickets can be found below.

Please continue to visit our teacher websites regularly to keep current on homework assignments, weekly projects, and events. Also, i-Ready is an important at home skill-building tool, so please encourage your child to continue using it for 45 minutes or more per subject, per week to stay sharp on their math and ELA skills.

Have a great!

"VIP" Dance - Saturday, March 16th

On Saturday, March 16th, our "CHAMPS" PTC group will be hosting our first annual "VIP" (Very Important Person) Dance from 5:00-7:00 PM at the Lincoln Community Center on the corner of 1st and Joiner. Each First St. student is invited to bring one "VIP" in their lives to this event. It's a chance to dance and have fun with someone who has meant a lot in their lives. Along with a DJ and dancing, we'll also have treats, drinks, photos, great raffle prizes, and more! The cost of the event is $7 per person, but contact us if money is an issue - we want all who want to attend to be able to attend!
