The Mayans
The Mayans were polytheistic which means that they believed in more than one god. They built really high pyramids. They also slashed and cleared land to farm on.
The Aztecs
They were the civilization that invented Chinampas, which were floating islands made of mud that helped them defend themselves from other civilizations.
The inca
They lived in the Andes Mountains and built on top of hilltops and mountaintops. Their ruler had supreme power.
Compare and Contrast
The Mayans and the Aztecs are smiliar because they harvested the same crops. But, the Aztecs lived on islands and the Mayans didn't. The Incas lived in mountains and the other two civilizations don't. The Inca's main crop was potatoes, while the other two civilizations main crop was corn, which they created maize from. The Inca's, Aztec's, and Mayan's all participated in the ritual of human sacrifice. The common achivements were a writing system, calender, and math. The Inca's created roads and bridges.
