Parent/Teacher Conference Sign Up - Parent/Teacher Conferences are being held on Monday, November 20, 2017 and Tuesday, November 21, 2017, from noon until 8:00 p.m. Please sign up to meet with your son/daughter's teacher at this link: https://www.pgsd.org/Page/4089

FALL BALL Tickets - Saturday, November 18, 2017, at 6:00 p.m. - Spring Ford Country Club Fall Ball tickets are on sale now in room 18, before and after school and during the first 10 minutes of lunch. Get your tickets before we sell out. See Mrs. Renn with any questions. Tickets are $40 and they are sold on a first come, first serve basis. Get your tickets before they sell out.

ACE Mentoring
Is your student interested in Architecture or Engineering?
ACE Mentoring is an opportunity for boys or girls grades 9-12 to interact and learn from professional engineers and architects on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month from 4-6 PM in the Library Classroom.
Work with Engineering Mentors on actual construction projects!
Scholarship money for college may be available.
First meeting is Wednesday October 25th, 2017 and goes through May 2018 (Pizza at each meeting!)

ASVAB is Coming to PGHS
THE ASVAB IS COMING TO POTTSGROVE!!!
Pottsgrove High School will be offering the ASVAB to any 10th, 11th and 12th grade students who are interested in taking the test on Monday January 29th from 7:45am to 10:45am. Interested students must sign up in the high school counseling office beginning November 1st through December 15th.
The Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery is the most widely used multiple-aptitude test battery in the world. As an aptitude test, the ASVAB measures your strengths, weaknesses, and potential for future success.
The ASVAB also provides you with career information for various civilian and military occupations and is an indicator for success in future endeavors whether you choose to go to college, vocational school, or a military career.
In addition, your scores on the ASVAB composite tests will help determine your career field or military occupation eligibility. For those who are considering enlistment, bonuses are usually tied to your choice of occupations, the better the score, the more opportunities you have. But keep in mind, it is impossible to literally "ace" the ASVAB, so your goal should be to simply do your best.
TIP: Be sure you are ready before you take the ASVAB -- use the Military.com ASVAB practice tests to find the areas you may need to work on. In addition you can read about ASVAB study techniques.
Register in the school counseling office between November 1st and December 15th. There is no cost for the test.
Western Center Updates
- November 15th - Girls Night Out - A great time for our female students to learn about the various programs at WMCTC.
- November 29th - WMCTC Open House 5:00-8:00 p.m. 5:00-6:00 p.m. is an Information Session for Perspective Students - This is an excellent opportunity to visit the school's programs and to meet with the teachers.

The Pottsgrove Athletic Department will be sponsoring at Spectator Bus to Spring Ford HS for Friday’s game.
Bus will leave the South Parking Lot promptly at 5:45 pm.
Student Price - $8.00 includes ticket and bus transportation
Adult Price - $10.00 includes ticket and bus transportation
To reserve a seat on the bus you must sign up in the MAIN OFFICE by noon on Friday, 11/17 and pay by cash or check (made payable to Pottsgrove School District).
Adults and Students over age 14 are permitted.
Students under the age of 14 must be accompanied by a parent.
Seats are limited and will be offered on a first come – first served basis.
