In your House

Radon is one of the biggest causes of lung cancer in the U.S. It is very hard to know when there is radon in the home because it is odorless and colorless. It causes more than 20,000 deaths from lung cancer every year. Radon can be dissolved and can get into a well that you drink water out of. It can also be emitted from the water that you shower, wash dishes, etc. because the gas gets out of the water and gets into the air.

Particle Pollution

Particle pollution is made up of particles that are in the air. Particle Pollution can come from wood stoves, forest fires, gasses from power plants, factories, cars and trucks, and construction sites. Particle pollution effects people with asthma, babies, and other people with lung diseases more than it affects other people.
