What is Dragon Fruit?

With a pink, red, or yellow exterior, and a white or red fleshy interior, the egg shape of a dragon fruit resembles that of a dragons body. Dragon fruit cultivation comes from cactus plants grown in humid and tropical conditions such as Vietnam.

Whats so good about Dragon Fruit?

Dragon fruit is full of carbohydrates, protein, calcium, iron and phosphorus. It also provides large amounts of vitamin B3 and vitamin C. The fruit is rich in water and fiber, and contains significant quantities of phytaolbumin antioxidants, which prevent formation of cancer-causing free radicals

Does it taste as good as it looks?

Dragon fruit has a crunchy and sweet taste, it is like a cross between a kiwi and a pear. The tiny black seeds inside of the fruit are also edible. This fruit flavor is at its best when chilled and raw. The most common way to eat Dragon fruit is as a desert extra or in a smoothie.
