Where Learning Comes First
Principal's Post
Dear Head Community,
We are off to a great start for December! December in an elementary school is probably one of the happiest times in a year. While always focused on teaching and learning, teachers are also helping to make our atmosphere fun and festive. I truly believe one of our most important roles as elementary educators is to instill a love of learning in the hearts of our students. Joy and laughter in the learning environment builds a positive school culture which leads to increased student achievement! So.... Enjoy this time of year! And don't forget to read, read, read. Reading makes you smarter!

Do you have a student in 3rd, 4th, or 5th grade? If so, this information is IMPORTANT for you!

Registration for the 2023-24 school year is now underway for some GCPS schools and programs!
Each year, a few special GCPS schools, programs, and a local charter school conduct activities during the winter to register students for the upcoming school year.
