THE GUTHRIE WAS A BLAST!!!

Our field trip to the Guthrie was a HUGE success! The students loved it and they were SO respectful! We were very proud of our 5th Grade Franklin Falcons! A HUGE shout out to our parent chaperones...THANK YOU for spending your day with us! We apologize to any parents who wanted to join us, but were not able to this year. We wish that you ALL could have, but we are given a limited number of tickets each year and can only take along an assigned number of chaperones. If you haven't asked your child about their experience at the Guthrie, you will want to do so! :)

FRANKLIN 5 AUCTION!! Donations Needed!

We will be having the first of two Franklin 5 Auctions at the end of December. Our 5th graders have been working hard to earn FRANKLIN 5s and this is a time for them to be rewarded for all of their hard work!

HOW CAN YOU HELP?!

DONATE, DONATE, DONATE! We are asking you to look around your home for NEW or “LIKE-NEW” items that fifth graders would like. It can be something you purchase as well. A few items from the dollar store would be GREAT! The items don’t have to be gender neutral. Some suggestions are games, books, fun note pads, markers, pencils, stuffed animals, pens, treats, pop, puzzles, art supplies, matchbox cars, sports related items, bubbles, holiday/winter fun, etc.

Once you have a few things gathered, send them to school with your child. He/she will give them to their teacher to hold for their class auction!

If you have ANY questions about this, PLEASE contact your child's teacher!

GINGERBREAD STRUCTURE BUILDING!!

We will be building Gingerbread Structures again this year as our December Reward! Students who are caught up with all of their work will be given time in class to work with their team to plan, design, and build an edible structure of their choice! Teams will be given some time each day for four days the last week of December to build their structure. On Friday, December 20th, we will have a viewing of all the structures built in 5th grade!!
